Youth Empowerment and Education

We prioritize equipping children and young people with access to school materials, vocational training, mentorship, and entrepreneurship opportunities. By tackling low school retention and high youth unemployment, Amani empowers the next generation with the tools to break the cycle of poverty.

Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality

Women are the backbone of families and communities. Amani focuses on empowering women through micro-grants, craft-making, tailoring, agribusiness, and mentorship programs, while also addressing menstrual health education and gender rights awareness to ensure women thrive socially and economically.

Health, Nutrition, and Social Welfare

Amani addresses urgent health gaps by organizing medical outreaches, maternal and child health programs, psychosocial support, and mental health awareness campaigns. We also provide nutritional support, including porridge flour to malnourished children and food aid to vulnerable groups such as refugees and elderly persons.

Economic Development and Livelihoods

Poverty reduction and financial independence are central to our work. Amani supports small businesses, SACCOs, farmers, and community cooperatives with training, start-up support, and market linkages, enabling families to earn stable incomes and uplift their communities.

Community Development and Humanitarian Relief

Amani fosters social cohesion, leadership training, peacebuilding, and emergency assistance. From supporting orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) to visiting the elderly and responding to refugee needs (such as Congolese families displaced by war), we prioritize dignity, compassion, and community resilience.

Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action

Recognizing the threats of climate change, Amani integrates environmental protection into its work by leading tree planting campaigns, promoting eco-friendly agricultural practices, and building climate resilience within communities, ensuring that development today does not compromise the future.

Women empowerment

Amani Compassion Organization is dedicated to unlocking the potential of young women in Uganda through our comprehensive Empowerment and Development Program. This initiative aims to equip young women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to overcome the socio-economic challenges they face and become active leaders in their communities.

Empowering Girls

At Amani Compassion Organization Uganda Ltd., we believe that empowering girls begins with meeting their most basic needs and equipping them with knowledge that safeguards their future. On our recent outreach in Namutumba District, we distributed sanitary pads to adolescent girls while providing practical training on menstrual hygiene management. For many of these girls, this was their first time receiving such direct support, helping them to manage their health with dignity and confidence.
